ADORN YOUR WORLD

The Elemental Wares is a collection of handmade objects exploring new ways of expressing, connecting, and attuning - to ourselves, each other, and the land around us. Reciprocity, closed-loop systems, regenerative practice, and circular economies are explored through this emergent process of researching, making, activating, and sharing. My hope is that the objects that fill this space will become catalysts for awakening new connection and possibility.

The Elemental Wares is a handmade, low impact, socially conscious enterprise. The objects offered here in the store are transformed from a mixture of second hand, ethical, organic, and sustainable materials. This means the footprint can be small and the objects unique and considered, adding layers of character and richness, not more landfill!

elementally Conscious enterprise

The foundation of the Elemental Wares is based on Reciprocity. Ten percent of all profit from my creative offerings are passed on to support ideas and projects that liberate, educate and inspire. Shifting the focus away from a scale that consumes and dominates to one that is sustainable nurtures collaboration and honours our connection. This means your purchase is the beginning of a ripple that will flow out and affect the collective in ways we can't even imagine.

I have been using this model in my creative practice since May 2017. Here are a few of the people and organisations supported to date:

  • Dinner in our future climate. A photo essay exploring climate change landscapes through the vernacular of eating—future visions of ingredients, food, and recipes.

  • The Australian Marine Conservation Society. Together we are making a world of difference for our oceans and sea life!

  • Doctors without borders. Medical aid where it's needed most—independent, neutral, impartial.

  • Shelter Box. Providing emergency shelter and tools for families robbed of the homes by disaster.

  • The Miriam Rose Foundation The Miriam Rose Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation working to empower

Indigenous youth through education, art, culture and opportunity.

  • Gurrumul Yunupingu Foundation. Creating greater opportunities for remote Indigenous young people to realise their full potential and contribute to culturally vibrant and sustainable communities.

  • Fletcher Street Cottage. Responding to the growing need for services supporting the local homeless, Byron Community Centre and Creative Capital (the team behind Habitat) have joined forces to reopen Fletcher Street Cottage, located in the middle of town.

  • The Shift Project To provide unique individual support and education for at risk women in a safe residential environment
